Cambridge Suite
At Ellerslie Racecourse:

Cambridge Stud, an iconic name in New Zealand horse racing, acquired an event space at Ellerslie Racecourse that required a complete refurbishment. The refreshed suite is a hosting venue where guests can eat, drink, socialise, and most importantly, experience the thrilling spectacle of horse racing.

Drawing inspiration from the varying ground conditions of horse racing, we selected flooring that reflected the racecourse’s firm, soft, and heavy textures. This theme resonates throughout the entire space, influencing the layout, choice of materials and textiles while hinting at the renowned Cambridge Stud golden yellow.

Our design intent was to cultivate a homely yet refined atmosphere, providing an elegant showcase for both the high-energy race day and the esteemed Cambridge Stud brand and memorabilia.

Furniture selections play a crucial role in the space, offering a range of seating types from high leaners, low casual lounges to carriage-style seating and dining. Each piece is strategically placed to ensure unobstructed views of the track and screens, accommodating various stages of the race day experience ensuring a thrilling experience for all.
